Ebco Industries, Ltd. (Ebco) is a manufacturing facility that handles everything from heavy metal fabrication and machining to turnkey assembly and light machining. We manufacture parts and machinery for a wide variety of industries including oil and gas, mining, forestry, energy, aerospace, marine, medical and more. At any given time, there are several parts for machinery used in the mining and energy industries being worked on at Ebco. We are an approved repair facility for mining companies such as Metso Minerals Canada and we work closely with power generation companies like Fortis BC, BC Hydro and Voith Hydro to provide top quality, on-time workmanship.
As a member of the sales team you will find, develop and grow business relationships. The Technical Sales Representative will take responsibility of a project from the point of customer creation all the way through until a purchase order is received for this project. The Technical Sales Representative will maintain all customer communications throughout the entire course of the working relationship with the customer, including follow ups after the purchase order is received and the job is completed. This position will be a primary driver of sales activity, including but not limited to, quote preparation, sales administrative requirements, customer support, quotation follow ups, order processing and measuring customer satisfaction. You will closely collaborate with various internal departments and representatives in this cross-functional position.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes and specific responsibilities;
Prospecting and developing new customer opportunities.
Maintaining and growing business from the existing customer base.
Conducting sales calls, delivering presentations, serving as a main customer contact throughout order process, following-up with customers as necessary.
Reviewing customers’ specifications and mechanical drawings.
Providing feedback on market developments
Managing a portfolio of customer accounts: establishing primary contacts, decision making matrix, building and maintaining relationships,
Responding to customer inquiries, requests for quotations, and measuring customer satisfaction, etc.
Assisting with customer order processing and order entry as needed.
Education and Experience
Academic qualifications in machining, fabrication, mechanical, industrial or related field.
3 to 5 years’ experience in direct sales or a business development role considered an asset.
Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries considered an asset.
Experienced in negotiating contractual terms and conditions as well as project pricing.
High energy with the ability to get out in front of the customer and grow the business as well as work efficiently and effectively with a team of existing sales professionals.
Confidence in a client facing role.
Strong presentation skills.
Excellent client relations skills with the proven ability to form relationships and the ability to produce results from those relationships.
Travel within Canada and the USA will be required. A valid passport is necessary.
